Donations
SMRS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is qualified to receive charitable contributions under IRS regulations. Donations may be deductible on IRS form 1040 Schedule A, Itemized Deductions.
Your contributions to the Museum allow us to provide programs and services promoting railroading history to the public. They also provide necessary funds to restore, rehabilitate, and preserve various railroad cars for use or display, and the historic rail line, one of Michigan's oldest!

Keeping Our Tracks in Gage
Through public support, SMRS is able to restore and maintain its engines, train cars, and track to provide tours to the public. Help us keep our tracks in gage by:
Donating machinery, materials, tools or services from your business.
Making a personal tax-deductible donation.
Becoming an SMRS volunteer and help us by working on the railroad in areas of mechanical, restoration, train crew, museum docents, track maintenance or other general areas of operation.
